Midfielder Denver Mukamba’s progress pleases Chitembwe

Caps United coach Lloyd Chitembwe is happy with the progress being made by midfielder Denver Mukamba after the player scored his first goal since his loan move from Dynamos.

The 22-year-old put in a man of the match performance at the weekend, coming on with a goal and assist as Caps secured a 2 nil win over newboys Herentals.

Coach Lloyd Mutasa though admited the player is yet to reach his desired fitness levels was impressed wirh the progress being made by the player.

Chitembwe told the Herald: “I am sure he is just endorsing what he is capable of doing and the amount of trust and belief that we had in him and I am sure he is at a great club.

“I certainly believe he stands to give us more than he has given elsewhere. So I think he is doing precisely that considering that he is so much loved and so much respected here. He is only repaying the kind of trust and confidence that we have in him,” said Chitembwe.

Mukamba ran into problems with former coach Lloyd Mutasa at Dynamos as he skipped training sessions without reason while allegations of drug and alcohol abuse also surfaced.
