Dynamos coach upbeat despite winless streak

Dynamos will have to train their sights on collecting full points against Caps United in Round 7 of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League this coming weekend.

Coach Lloyd Mutasa, who assembled a rather youthful squad has seen his side fail to win in their first six matches.

But the coach is confident his side can turn the tide despite the setback of failing to win against Yadah Stars yesterday in a match they were expected to finally pick up a win.

Mutasa told the Herald: “It’s a point gained, but we feel we had some few chances that if we could have buried. We should have come out with three points, but such is the nature of football. We will go back to the drawing board and work in terms of our finishing.

“Obviously, as a coach or as a team, every game that you play you would want to come out victorious, but such is the nature of the game.

“We are not happy, we are still in search of those three points and I am sure it’s just a matter of breaking the duck. Just look at the creativity, the chances that came our way and the conversion rate is not directly proportional,” said Mutasa.

Dynamos have been struggling in the CLPSL with zero wins and 3 draws for a tally of three points and are sitting in 17th place in the 18-team standings.

Even more dismal has been the fact that their strikers have generally failed to fire, aggregating 4 goals in 6 matches played so far. They have totally failed to score in 4 of the matches.
