Danny Phiri returns after a long lay-off

Danny Phiri has returned to action for the first time in eight months after recovering from a knee injury.

The midfielder was an unused sub in Golden Arrows’ 1-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Phiri had last played in August last year in Arrows’ season opener in the quarter-finals of the MTN8.

Also expected to return to action is Kudakwashe Mahachi, who picked up a foot injury in a match against Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup round of 32 in February.

Arrows coach Clinton Larsen confirmed Mahachi’s return to KickOff.com.

“(Kudakwashe) Mahachi and (Lehlohonolo) Nonyane should be available for the next game against Kaizer Chiefs,” said Larsen.
