Macauley Bonne honoured at club’s awards

Leyton Orient forward Macauley Bonne was honoured by his club yesterday following an impressive 2017/18 campaign.

The Zimbabwe international received the club’s Player of the Year and the Players’ Player of the Year awards beating other four contestants.

Bonne also had two of his goals nominated for Goal of the Year award, but he lost it to Ebou Adams.

The 22-year-old striker has scored 24 goals in all competitions in his debut season at Orient after joining the side last August. His fine form has also attracted interest from several top leagues sides including Portsmouth, Shrewsbury and Burton.
