Mutasa rues missed chances but still praises his charges

Lloyd Mutasa says they could have scored more goals on Wednesday against Chapungu but still praised his charges for a spirited performance.

The Glamour Boys won 2-1 in a tie played at Ascot Stadium. The victory was their second in a row.

Kuda Kumwala opened the scoring in the 10th minute before Quality Kangadze doubled the advantage just after the half-hour mark.

Philip Marufu scored Chapungu’s consolation late in the stoppage time of the game.

The result lifted Dembare from the relegation zone to 10th position while the hosts slumped to 15th place.

“We created a lot of chances, and we only managed to score two goals. But the most important thing is we managed to collect three points,” said Mutasa.

“I cannot say we are up and running as yet, but as a team, we always have that feeling, that confidence, that we can win every game.”

Dynamos will host Harare City in their next encounter in round ten at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
