He’s just one of 11 players – Ramos doesn’t fear Salah

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has claimed that Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah will be “just one of 11 players” when the two sides lock horns in the Champions League final.

Egypt international Salah has enjoyed a superb debut season at Anfield, scoring 43 goals in all competitions this term and playing a vital role in his side’s run to Kiev.

Standing in Liverpool’s way will be Zinedine Zidane ‘s Real, in the Champions League final for the third season in a row and hoping to claim a third consecutive trophy.

Despite Salah’s heroics on the red half of Merseyside, Ramos insists that he has faced many other world-class forwards over his career, and is never scared of opponents, only respectful.

“We have seen what Salah can do this season, but he will just be one of 11 players we face against Liverpool,” Ramos is quoted by The Mirror as saying.

“Throughout my career, I have faced the best forward players in the world – many of them who are considered among the greatest ever. For me, there is never a fear. A respect, yes, but never a fear.”

Salah has also been instrumental for Egypt over the past 12 months, helping the Pharaohs reach their first World Cup since 1990.
