Dynamos, CAPS and ZPC Kariba receive heavy fines from PSL

Six teams have been fined by the PSL for breaching rules and regulations of the game.

ZPC Kariba received a fine of $1 250 for failing to fulfil a league match without a valid reason against FC Platinum in the opening weekend of the season.

Caps United’s failure to wear a kit with the sponsor’s logo during their game against Bulawayo Chiefs will see them pay $1 150 while Shabanie Mine and Chapungu got a $50 fine when their goalkeepers used a kit without sponsor’s logo and name on the back of the shirt.

The Chinda Boys will also pay $2 000 for missile throwing against Caps while their coach Takesure Chiragwi will fork out $1 250 in fine for reckless comments in the media, criticising the match officials in the game against Yadah FC.

Dynamos and Mutare City Rovers are going to pay $2 000 each.

The Glamour Boys were found guilty of missile throwing during the match against Yadah FC at Rufaro Stadium. Rovers were charged with pitch invasion during the match against FC Platinum by technical officials and security personnel at Vengere stadium.

Other individuals to pay fines are:

Tichaona Diya (Harare City FC) – $250 (Expulsion from the technical area during the match against Chapungu FC at Ascot Stadium, for using abusive language towards match officials.)

Robert Jiuro (Chapungu FC) – $250 (Expulsion from the technical area during the match against FC Platinum at Ascot Stadium, for using abusive language towards match officials.)

Tirivaviri Sithole (Chicken Inn FC) – $250 (Expulsion from the technical area during the match against Caps United FC at National Sports Stadium, for disorderly conduct.)

Joseph Takaringofa (Mutare City Rovers FC) – $1 250 (Issuing reckless statements in the media implying bias after the match against Ngezi Platinum Stars at Baobab Stadium.)
