Amini takes over at Bulawayo City as head coach

Following the departure of Darlington Dodo , Bulawayo City has appointed the experienced Amini Phiri to take over the reins at the club for the remainder of the season.

The development comes two weeks after ‘management pushed to the wall’ the former coach Darlington Dodo sacking him for poor results.

Having worked with clubs such as Highlanders and Supersport United, Phiri is certainly not short of coaching experience. The ZIFA Level Four licensed coach with rich footballing knowledge was officially unveiled at the club and took charge of his first training session with Assistant coach Bekithemba Ndlovu, goalkeepers’ trainer Julius Ndlovu and technical advisor Barry Daka on Tuesday .

His first port of action will be a date against Shabanie Mine in his quest to help Bulawayo City survive relegation.
