Chicken Inn coach Joey Antipas says it has always been difficult for them playing at Ascot Stadium.

The Gamecocks have failed to pick up maximum points at the venue in recent games. Their first encounter in Gweru this season, ended in a goalless stalemate against Nichrut before they drew 0-0 with Chapungu on Sunday.

“Ascot is a very tricky stadium for us, we have only won here once and the rest have been drawn, it is one of our hoodoo grounds,” said Antipas.

“The pitch is bumpy and that affected our play. We got a number of chances which we could have buried. It is always difficult when you dominate and eventually draw.”

Chicken Inn last won at the stadium in 2015, when they beat Chapungu 1-2.
