Highlanders coach disappointed with performance

Highlanders coach Madinda Ndlovu has revealed that he is disappointed with his players’ performance during their 0-0 draw against lowly Yadah on Sunday.

Yadah put up a gritty display in their match against the Bulawayo giants coming from the back of a 5-0 drubbing at the hands of log leaders Ngezi Platinun but Highlanders coach Madinda Ndlovu said that he was not happy with the performance of his players in an interview with the Chronicle.

Madinda also believed that if Yadah had managed to score, the result could have been different as they could have easily grabbed all three points.

“We should go with our theme and objectives for this year. Our objective is to try and play exciting football,” said Ndlovu.

“Hear me right. I didn’t talk much about the result on Saturday or the three points which were on offer.

“I talked about the team not playing well which is something that we want to bring at Highlanders. We want to play good and exciting football which brings people to the stadium.”, Said Madinda.

Bosso bounced back from a disappointing loss against ZPC Kariba to pick up a point and maintain 3rd position on the log.

Highlanders seemed to be struggling to reproduce their form, allowing the visitors to gain more possession in midfield.

Madinda wants his team to play a beautiful brand of football rather than concentrating on winning.
