Aleck Mudimu’s Cefn Druids clinch Europa League spot

Welsh based Aleck Mudimu’s Cefn Druids secured next season’s Europa League spot with victory over Cardiff in the European League Play off final on Sunday.

After a season in which they started as one of the relegation favourites, Cefn Druids confounded the doubters by booking their ticket for the Europa League with a 1-0 victory over Cardiff Met University.

A 16th minute strike from James Davies proved enough to seal a famous victory in a sweltering play-off final at the Rock.

In a lively start, Mudimu looked composed and full of running as he had efforts blocked in a goalmouth scramble.

The player newly introduced into the Warriors set up had a good season scoring eight goals in 27 league appearences which put him in the Welsh Premier League best 11 of the season.

Mudimu can now look forward to tasting European football for the first time in history.
