Chitembwe impressed after holding Highlanders

CAPS United coach Lloyd Chitembwe was happy with his team performances after holding Highlanders to a goalless draw at Barbourfields on Sunday.

The Green Machine was the better side in ball possession but could not find the back of the net despite creating several chances.

Simba Nhivi failed to convert the opportunities he got in the first half while Milton Ncube was denied by the keeper. However, it was the home team that finished the game strongly, with Peter Muduhwa blowing a chance in the injury time.

“It was a very good game, both teams gave it their all,” said Chitembwe.

“We anticipated that we were not going to have so many chances, but I am satisfied with the performance by the boys.

“It was one of those games that had so much in it reaching technical brilliance, tactical acumen, physical and mental application.”
