Foreign Based Zimbabweans Round Up

Several foreign based Zimbabwean soccer players over the weekend featured for their respective clubs across the globe with Belgian based Knowledge Musona, Swedish based Tinotenda Kadewere and China based Nyasha Mushekwi registering their names on the score sheet for their clubs.

Knowledge Musona (KV Oostende, Belgium)
Zimbabwe star man Knowledge Musona ended the Belgian Pro League season for KV Oostende with a bang as he was on target in their last Europa League playoff beating Royal Antwerp 3-1 on Saturday.

Musona who featured in only his fourth since his return from a lengthy injury scored the last goal in the 78th minute to seal victory after goals from Vandendriessche and Zivkovic.

Musona ended with 5 league games in 20 appearances for Oostende in the season.

Nyasha Mushekwi (Dalian Yifang, China)
Fresh from scoring his first goal of the season two weeks ago, Warriors ’ dazzling striker scored a double to earn Dalian Yifang league victory over Guizhou Hengfeng.

Mushekwi , fired the first of his two goals in the 76th minute to put Yifang level at 1-1, after Yuya Kubo, had earlier given Guizhou Hengfeng the lead in the 30th minute.

The former Swedish Djurgården striker stepped up 15 minutes later to complete his brace and Dalian Yifang victory to wrap up a 2-1 victory for his side.

Tinotenda Kadewere (Djurgården, Sweden)
Zimbabwean international Tinotenda Kadewere continued with his good start to the Allsvenskan season when he scored for Djurgardens in their 2-0 win over Orebro on Thursday evening.

Kadewere scored the opener in the 67th minute going on a solo run before a cool finish adding his season tally to four.

Costa Nhamoinesu (Sparta Prague, Czech Republic)
Nhamoinesu returned back to the starting line up as he featured full 90 minutes for Sparta Prague against Sigma Olomouc in the Czech Liga.

Aleck Mudimu (Cefn Druids, Wales)
Welsh based Aleck Mudimu’s Cefn Druids secured next season’s Europa League spot with victory over Cardiff in the European League Play off final on Sunday.

Cefn Druids confounded the doubters by booking their ticket for the Europa League with a 1-0 victory over Cardiff Met University.
