Real test is against Ngezi Platinum: Harrison

Mark Harrison believes his team’s credentials as dark horses for the league title will be evaluated after they play against firm favourites and log leaders Ngezi Platinum at Baobab stadium on Saturday.

Speaking after his team’s 2-1 victory over Shabanie Mine which saw them get to the fourth position, Harrison says although he is pleased with his team so far, the match against Ngezi gives them a good yardstick.

“On Saturday against Ngezi Platinum is when we are going to measure ourselves against pretenders to the throne. Of course, we are playing well, but we haven’t got real competition to test ourselves,” said Harrison.

“Credit should also go to the players for putting much effort and listening to my instructions as this makes everything a whole lot easier.”

Harare City only returned to the premier league on the last minute when How Mine surrendered its franchise citing a need to focus on their core business. But the Sunshine Boys are shining as they are on number four just behind third-placed Chicken Inn on goal difference.
