Shabanie Mine apologise to the PSL, ZIFA

Shabanie Mine FC has apologised to the PSL, ZIFA and the SRC over remarks made last week on their official Facebook page, criticising the way the game was being administered.

The Zvishavane based side says the post was made by unknown culprits who had hacked the page.

The Facebook post, which had been already deleted, questioned PSL about the officiating of league matches, broadcasting rights and how they use the money taken from clubs. It also stated that other clubs get preferential treatment from the authorities.

Here is a statement by the Shabanie Mine:

Shabanie Mine Fc would like to take this time to apologise to our three main pillars of soccer in Zimbabwe that is ZIFA, PSL and SRC over remarks that were posted here by unknown culprits that tagged themselves hackers international who hacked the page before Facebook come on board to help us recover the page after numerous attempts to do so. Shabanie Mine FC is an affiliate of PSL which means that if they have any complaints they will raise it via formal channels as stipulated in the rules and regulations of the body.

Also one of the posts castigated our ruling party(Zanu pf) accusing them of using this page as a campaign platform, we want to make it clear that we do not mix our beautiful game and politics. Our apology also to Zanu pf party for those remarks.

Vast measures have been implemented to avoid cyber crimes like these in future, once again our apology to all those who were affected by the posts that were thrown here. Soccer is our beatiful game, lets enjoy it together!

Meanwhile, PSL had asked Shabanie to write a confirmation of the said allegations and the position of the club.
