ZBC TV to broadcast all 64 FIFA W.C matches

ZBC TV will broadcast all 64 matches at the 2018 FIFA World Cup to be held in Russia next month through its partnership deal with the Econet Media’s Kwese TV.

According to Tech Zim, the games will also be shown on all Kwese’s digital platforms that range from the Kwese satellite TV to the newly launched ‘Kwese-iflix’ mobile App.

Head of Kwesé TV in Zimbabwe, Mrs Dorothy Zimuto was quoted by the website saying: “We are proud to announce that following our recent licensing for content distribution, webcasting, and video-on-demand, we will be bringing the best World Cup experience ever to Zimbabweans on all our Kwese platforms.

“Our customers will also be able to catch all the World Cup action through our Kwese digital platforms, namely KweseESPN, Kwese.com and Kwesefied sites, through the Kwese-Free-to-Air Service (FTA) on local TV, via the national broadcaster ZBC.”

Meanwhile, the Kwese TV has the exclusivity over the free-to-air and non-exclusive pay-tv broadcast rights to the World Cup in sub-Saharan Africa, excluding South Africa.
