Khama Billiat not in rush to decide on future

Warriors striker Khama Billiat is not revealing anything about his future after refusing to renew his contract with Mamelodi Sundowns.

Billiat who is part of the 20 men squad that left today for the Cosafa Cup in South Africa says he is not in a hurry to sort out his next move.

“Honestly, I don’t know yet. I am still to sit down with my manager and decide on what is best,” said Billiat.

“I hope everything goes well and a decision that will be made in the end will make everyone happy including those that have been supporting me.

” I am not in a rush, I can still make a decision on the last minute. I will just pray to God that the decision will be good at the end.”

The player’s agent, Mike Ngobeni of M-Sport-Management, also confirmed to Soccer Laduma that they are taking their time in ensuring that they make the best decision.

“We are not rushing anything because his contract is only ending next month, end of June, so we are not rushing any deal because we have got time to make up our minds and see what’s next for the player.

“We have to make a bold decision and not an emotional decision you know, there is nothing to be emotional about, we need to make sure that we make a bold decision for Khama and his family and his future,” Ngobeni said.

Meanwhile, reports from South Africa say Mamelodi Sundowns were hoping that they can still persuade Billiat to sign a new contract while there are rumours that he is angling for a move to Europe.
