FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza says his charges will not be affected by Ngezi Platinum Stars’ tricks when the two sides meet on Saturday at Baobab Stadium in Match-day 16.

The Mhondoro-based side is notorious for flooding their pitch with water before the match, and most teams tend to struggle in those conditions.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the clash, Mapeza said: “The most important thing is to go there with a positive mind and try to get a positive result.

“I think for them watering the pitch is not giving any club a disadvantage. We need to go there prepared because everybody knows the pitch will be a little bit muddy, let us go out there prepared for that.”

Both teams are tied at the top with 38 points apiece, only separated by goal difference. Madamburo’s goalkeeper Bernard Donovan is suspended while Xolisani Moyo and Clive Augusto are serving red card bans.
