Germany vs Saudi Arabia: Preview and Head to head

Germany vs Saudi Arabia
International Friendly
Date: Friday, 8th June 2018
Kick-Off at 19:30 GMT +2
Venue: BayArena (Leverkusen).

Germany have seen a 2-1 loss in Austria on Saturday and Joachim Low cannot be satisfied as his men thus connected a five-game winless streak, with three draws in a row since early November and a narrow 0-1 loss to Brazil seen in late March.

Die Mannschaft now host Saudi Arabia in the hope they can finally end the unwanted streak and bag a win at BayArena in Leverkusen, seeing that a very tough schedule beforehand isn’t really a justification for the Germans. They’ve been regularly conceding recently and this could be even more worrying as they failed to impress in the attacking third.

Saudi Arabia come as heavy underdogs but it does feel they’ll be far from an easy side to beat as well, despite a comfortable 0-3 loss to Peru now behind them. They’ve beaten Algeria and Greece back in May and only suffered 2-1 loss to Italy more recently, which will have them motivated to put on a solid challenge in Germany and show off such a character ahead of the final tournament in Russia as well.
