Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambwa says his team is on the right track ahead of the AFCON qualifiers in September this year.

Chidzambwa included several foreign-based players in his squad that won the 2018 COSAFA Cup on Saturday after beating Zambia 4-2 in the final.

“I am happy with what I have seen, and it gives us an idea on what to work on before September, and I can safely say we are on the right track,” Chidzambwa told The Herald.

“I was very impressed with the way that Tafadzwa Kutinyu and Richard Hachiro stepped in.

“We now need to tighten our defence a bit, and we will certainly add a few more players for the AFCON.”

Zimbabwe is in Group G of the AFCON Qualifiers with Liberia, DRC and Congo Brazzaville.
