Victory Crucial For Dynamos Turnaround: Chigove

Lloyd Chigove who was holding fort in the absence of coach Lloyd Mutasa hopes the 1-0 win against Mutare City away at Vengere Stadium is the beginning of better fortunes at the troubled club.

Chigove, a long-time Dynamos juniors coach was thrown on to the hot seat following the drama that saw the return of Lloyd Mutasa who had been exiled to the ceremonial post of technical director and the sucking of interim coach Biggie Zuze.

Chigove lost on his first match against Triangle United but got some relief at Mutare City who were bubbling with confidence after beating Caps United away in the previous fixture.

“This was a crucial game for us because we wanted to win at all costs to give a relief to our fans. We created a lot of chances, and we managed to capitalise when they lost concentration towards the end when they thought that they had frustrated us,” said Chigove.

“I hope that this is the beginning of our turnaround. I have always maintained that in football at times you go through a lean spell, but it doesn’t mean you are a bad side. Now that the coach will be returning for training on Tuesday, with morale high in camp I believe and hope that this is the beginning of better things for us.”

Dynamos got the all-important goal seven minutes before full-time from substitute Tawanda Macheke.
