Baroka CEO Morgan Mammila has dismissed reports linking Talent Chawapiwa with a move to Kaizer Chiefs.
There were reports last week which suggested that the forward was on the verge signing with the Soweto Giants, but Mammila insists the club have not received any offer for the player.
“How on earth do you go and confirm the sale of a player … and that our boy has been sold to Chiefs while we don’t know anything about that,” the club CEO told KickOff.com.
“This is serious damage to our team you know, and now we have to explain to our supporters because they don’t know anything. This is unprofessional.
“Talent is part of the team, people have been asking questions, and now we must answer about something that we don’t even know. So I’m so disappointed.
“The player belongs with the club for two more years to come and two years’ option. It’s four years, two years plus two years’ option. If maybe we had an offer from Chiefs yes we would understand and assume that maybe they were told that there is an offer.”
Chawapiwa who joined the Limpopo side last year has also been linked Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits.
