Nigeria moved to second place in group D after beating Iceland 2-0 in a FIFA World Cup 2018 fixture putting fate for next round firmly in their hands.
After Argentina succumbed to a 3-0 defeat to Croatia on Thursday night, Group D has been left wide open. Ahmed Musa struck twice in second half putting Nigeria second in group D.
Musa struck the opener in the 49th minute after a brilliant first touch before finishing. He then added a second in the 75th minute with Kenneth Omeruo providing the assist.
Iceland had a good chance to reduce the arrears but Gylfi Sigurdsson shot way over the bar a penalty awarded after VAR intervention.
