Injury set back for Tinotenda Kadewere

Zimbabwean international Tinotenda Kadewere is has been ruled out of action for at least 8 weeks with an injury.

Kadewere was injured at the weekend in Djurgårdens training match against Aarhus at the Stockholm Stadium.

“It has taken some time because we have had to do some different investigations where we see that he has an inner ligament injury in his knee that sees him out of play for 8-10 weeks,” said Christian Andersson.

Kadewere expressed optimism despite the set back saying,  I have been a bit worried because I did not know what it was but at least now I have something in my mind to work on because I have work hard and make sure I come back stronger than before” , he told the official club website.

Kadewere’s injury is a blow for Djurgarden and the player himself after his bright start to the Swedish top flight.

Kadewere is top of the goalscoring charts with 8 goals from 12 games. Kadewere was also a key figure for the Warriors as they retained the Cosafa Cup.
