FC Platinum midfielder Nigel Makumbe will no longer travel to South Africa for trials.

According to the Chronicle, Makumbe who is on loan at Highlanders was scheduled to leave for an eight-day trial stint at SuperSport on Wednesday, but the trip was called off on the eve of the journey.

The 21-year-old was supposed to attend the trials at SuperSport together with Kevin Moyo who left the country on Tuesday.

meanwhile, Makumbe is available for Bosso clash against Black Rhinos at National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
