Sweden coach Janne Andersson backs England to win 2018 World Cup title

The Three Lions of England are good enough to win the FIFA World Cup, says Sweden coach Janne Andersson following his team’s 2 nil loss ro exit the competition at the semi final level.

Goals from Harry Maguire and Dele Alli and key saves from Jordan Pickford saw England defeat Sweden to reach their first World Cup semifinal since 1990.

Andersson who admitted that England was superior than his team backed them to go ahead and clinch the title.

Now Croatia await at the Luzhniki Stadium on Wednesday 11 July, where the Three Lions have been backed to go progress to the July 15 showpiece and even lift the trophy.

“Yes, I definitely believe England are good enough to win it. They are forceful, well-organised. I’d like to pay tribute to the team and coach,” BBC Sport quotes Andersson as saying.

“They are a good footballing side. I think they would be perfectly able to go all the way”
