We benefited from the season break: Dhlakama

Chapungu United coach Rodwell Dhlakama says his team benefited from the two-week season break.

The Airforce side beat Bulawayo City 1-0 in a match played at Ascot Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The win moved them two places up but remained in the relegation zone on 15th position with16 points.

Speaking after the game, Dhlakama said: “The good thing is that our players managed to rest after they had gone for a training camp, (airforce camp) so I think they had enough time to recharged the batteries.

“It is a good start for us, and we just have to keep focused and work hard so that we collect more points as the season progresses.”

The victory ended Chapungu’s five-match winless run. The Gweru-based outfit had last picked maximum points in May against Shabanie Mine.
