West Ham United are interested in signing Club Brugge midfielder Marvelous Nakamba, according to reports in Belgium and UK.

The Hammers are in search for a defensive midfielder to replace Pedro Obiang who is set to leave the club before the transfer window closes.

The 24-year-old Zimbabwe international is valued at £7.1 million by Transfer Markt.

Earlier this year, two EPL sides, Liverpool and Everton were reportedly interested in Nakamba.

But now it appears the player could move away following revelations by coach Ivan Leko that the Belgian champions have identified France Under-20 star Jeando Fuchs, who is currently on the books of Ligue 2 side Sochaux, as his potential replacement.
