We showed much character: Herentals

Herentals produced one of the best comebacks in the local league in recent years when they scored two goals in less than two minutes to force a 2-2 draw against Yadah.

With the regulation 90 minutes up, substitute Tafadzwa Chitukutuku who had replaced Archmore Majarira scored in quick succession to ‘steal’ a point from Yadah who looked like they had already wrapped up the match.

“We kept on believing that we could get something from this game, that’s why we continued pushing even when the time was up. We knew that once we pull one goal back, it was not going to be difficult to get the other one and it worked out just like that. I am happy for my players because they showed so much belief that anything is possible,” said coach Kumbirai Mutiwekuziva.

Ex-How Mine striker Simba Sithole had given Yadah the lead early in the first half before Willard Kalongoda doubled the lead but two minutes of brilliance from Chitukutuku ensured a share of spoils.
