Antipas not happy

Chicken Inn coach Joey Antipas was unamused when his side failed to utilise numerical advantage and collect maximum points in the 1-1 draw against Ngezi Platinum Stars.

“For me, it’s two points dropped because we should have capitalised on the numerical advantage we had after they went down to ten men. We also created a number of chances that we should have scored particularly those that fell to Obrey Chirinda and Obadiah Tarumbwa. We also conceded a soft goal, and didn’t utilise the set pieces that we got,” said Antipas.

Ngezi had their centre-forward Clive Augusto sent off for a second bookable offence, and they played the last third of the match a man down.

Keith Murera gave Madamburo the lead in the first half, but veteran defender Moses Jackson equalised for the Gamecocks early in the second half.

The draw gave FC Platinum some breathing space and allowed them to increase the lead at the top to four points following a 2-0 win past Chapungu.
