Norman Mapeza reckons that the impact of Gift Mbweti and Never Tigere handed FC Platinum the victory in the 2-0 win against Chapungu.

Mapeza brought in Mbweti for Charles Sibanda and Tigere for Thomas Chideu, and this combination wrestled the control of the match from Chapungu who dominated in the first half.

Mbweti capped it up with an opener minutes after his introduction before Winston Mhango cushioned it with a late strike.

“In the first half we didn’t play well but the changes we made certainly changed the complexion of the game. We started creating more chances, and I am happy that the consistency is now returning. We hope that we maintain this is our next match,” said Mapeza.

The win allowed FC Platinum to have at least some breathing space as they are now four points clear at the top.
