We lost it in the first half: Madinda

Highlanders head coach Madinda Ndlovu says the three first-half goals they conceded against Chicken Inn made it difficult for his charges to complete a come back in their 3-2 defeat on Thursday.

Bosso, who welcomed back their mentor Madinda Ndlovu from a one-week leave, found themselves trailing as early as in the second minute when King Nasama fired home from inside the box to beat a badly exposed Ariel Sibanda.

On the half-hour mark, skipper Moses Jackson doubled the advantage before Obrey Chirinda made it three a few moments before the break.

“It was those three first-half goals that made life difficult for our boys. However, it was a good derby match which we greatly wanted to win,” said Ndlovu.

Bosso got their consolation goals through Adrian Silla, who converted from the spot, and through Gabriel Nyoni’s powerful header in the second period.
