Zim players based abroad round-up

Nyasha Mushekwi scored his tenth goal of the season in the 1-1 draw against Chongqing Lifan on Saturday.

The 30-year-old found the back of the net in the 24th minute before he was subbed off in the 88th minute.

Also on target over the weekend was Knowledge Musona who netted his first goal for Anderlecht in a 2-1 loss against Club Brugge on Sunday.

Musona started in the first XI and scored a 19th-minute equaliser, but his team conceded another goal later in the first half to lose the match. He played until the 65th minute when he was replaced.

Meanwhile, Brugge midfielder Marvelous Nakamba was not part of the squad that beat Anderlecht. The 24-year-old is still to return to full fitness after picking up a knee injury three months ago and has since been dropped out of the Warriors squad for 2019 AFCON qualifier against Congo next month.

England based Macauley Bonne featured for whole ninety minutes in Leyton Orient draw against Gateshead on Saturday while Adam Chicksen was also in action in Bradford City’s 2-1 defeat to Wycombe in a League One encounter.

Nottingham Forest defender Tendai Darikwa was not part of the weekend’s squad.

Sparta Prague full-back Costa Nhamoinesu also missed out with an injury while Celtic’s Kundai Benyu was again left out on the squad that won on Sunday.
