Chitembwe happy with team performance

CAPS United coach Lloyd Chitembwe was happy following his team’s 2-1 win over Nichrut on Sunday.

Makepekepe managed to find the target twice in an encounter for the first time since July 17 when they beat Chapungu 2-0 in Gweru.

Speaking after the match, Chitembwe said: “The performance was a bit different from the way we played our last game, and the attitude, today (yesterday) was very positive.

“We also managed to get the two goals. We did more in the game, and we deserved to win the match.

“I am happy with the way we played. Wisdom (Mutasa) gave us that leverage when he scored that first goal which bit of unsettled the opponents while Hardlife’s (Zvirekwi) second goal gave us the confidence.”

Mutasa opened the scoring in the first minute before Zvirekwi doubled the lead in the second half. Farai Vimisai got the consolation for the visitors on the stroke of full-time.
