Ndiraya backs Highlanders project

Ngezi Platinum Stars head coach Tonderayi Ndiraya reckons Highlanders’ rebuilding exercise is heading into a good direction and he foresees Madinda Ndlovu’s charges shining in the forthcoming seasons.

Ndiraya was speaking at a post-match media conference after the miners edged youthful Bosso 2-1 at Barbourfields Stadium.

“Highlanders are a great institution with a great history. They have ventured into an encouraging rebuilding project. There are a lot of youngsters in this project who will certainly shine in the future. I can say it is a huge achievement for us to beat the Highlanders team in a well-balanced affair,” said Ndiraya.

Bosso started their rebuilding project early this year, recruiting a couple of youngsters that include McClive Phiri, Mbongeni Ndlovu, Adrian Silla, Brian Banda, Denzel Khumalo, Nigel Makumbe among others and in the process dropping some ageing players like Simon Munawa, Ralph Matema and Tendai Ngulube.
