National team players have started reporting for camp ahead of the 2019 AFCON Qualifier against Congo on September 9 in Brazzaville.

Coach Sunday Chidzambwa named a 28-man provisional squad two weeks ago which consist of several foreign-based players including captain Knowledge Musona.

However, a couple of stars have already been dropped with replacements called in.

Club Brugge midfielder Maverlous Nakamba, Sparta Prague defender Costa Nhamoinesu, Chinese based forward Nyasha Mushekwi, Tinotenda Chibharo and Ovidy Karuru have all been confirmed out of the tie.

Kaizer Chiefs winger Khama Billiat is carrying an injury, and the doctors will assess him tomorrow.

“Khama is here, but he is complaining about the pain. He’s got a hamstring injury so will give him time to rest until tomorrow. Doctors will look at him and see if we can include him in the squad. Otherwise, he is willing to travel to Congo,” said Warriors manager Wellington Mpandare.
