I wish I could play: Madinda

Highlanders coach Madinda Ndlovu wishes if he could rewind the clock to his heyday and face the old foes, Dynamos.

Bosso host their biggest rivals, Dembare on Sunday and to sum up the magnitude of the match, Ndlovu, one of the yesteryear star players during the derbies, wished he was still a player.

“I wish if I could play in this game but, eish, I cant. These are interesting games facing Dynamos, no matter what, the stakes are always high. As Highlanders, we don’t want to lose to Dynamos even if we are not in form. It means a lot to the institution Highlanders and its followers,” said Ndlovu.

“We are coming from defeats and they are coming from a win against Bulawayo City, but we are Highlanders, not Bulawayo City. Even though we lost in our previous matches, our boys have been playing fantastic football, and we will continue with that display,” said Ndlovu.

Tshilamoya lost their last two matches at home, going down to Chicken Inn 3-2 and 2-1 to Ngezi Platinum Stars. The Glamour Boys have won most of the duels against Highlanders at Babourfields Stadium since the turn of the millennium coming out victors eight times, drawing seven times and losing three times.

Dynamos’ last visit to Bulawayo was the fruitful one beating Bulawayo City 2-1 last weekend.
