Preview: Chibuku Super Cup First Round

The first round of the 2018 Chibuku Super Cup continues this afternoon with four matches lined up.

Dynamos will host Bulawayo Chiefs in a match set for Rufaro Stadium.

The Glamour Boys’ coach Lloyd Mutasa is under pressure to deliver something in this tournament after posting poor results in the league which has seen the team slump to 14th place on the log.

Chiefs, on the flip side, have also struggled in the league and will be hoping to record a win and avoid going for matches (in all competitions) without a win. Today’s encounter is their first ever in the competition having been promoted to the top flight football this season.

Chapungu play their second game in this campaign, having started in the preliminary round.

They face FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium.

Pure Platinum Play are looking to get revenge for last year’s heartbreak which came after the Airforce side knocked them out in the same stage.

Ngezi Platinum Stars are also in action, hosting Herentals at Baobab Stadium while Black Rhinos entertain Nichrut in the capital at National Sports Stadium.
