We didn’t play the best football: Madinda

Highlanders manager Madinda Ndlovu says his charges didn’t play the best football despite a dramatic comeback to beat Yadah 2-1 to advance to the quarterfinals of the Chibuku Super Cup on Sunday.

Mbongeni Ndlovu and Newman Sianchali went on target in the space of fourteen minutes to cancel out Simba Sithole’s goal scored early in the second half.

Speaking after the match, Madinda said: “We didn’t play the best football. The comeback was, however, marvellous and credit should go to the boys for their bravery.

“The most important thing was to make those people out there happy.”

Highlanders join Dynamos, CAPS United, Nichrut, Herentals, Triangle United, Chapungu and Harare City in the last eight round.
