Cristiano Ronaldo has been handed a one match ban in the Champions League by UEFA for his red card in a 2-0 victory against Valencia.

The Portugal international was controversially dismissed following a clash with Jeison Murillo at last week.

He will miss the clash against Swiss champions Young Boys but will be available to face former Manchester United.

The game against United is set for October 23 at Old Trafford .
