FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza has blasted the media for creating unnecessary pressure on his team especially at this time of the season.

The Zvishavane based side who beat Dynamos 2-0 reopened a five-point lead on the top after second-placed Ngezi Platinum Stars suffered a defeat in Bulawayo on Saturday.

When asked if the Ngezi’s loss will make any effect in the title chase, Mapeza lashed out saying: “The media has to be positive when asking questions. You don’t have to create unnecessary pressure on us.

“I have been under pressure during my days as a player and now as a coach, I refuse to be put under pressure anymore.

“But the most important thing right now is to work hard, and make sure we collect more points in the remaining games.”

FC Platinum will play their title rivals, Ngezi in one of their remaining five matches.
