It’s getting frustrating: Ndiraya

Ngezi Platinum Stars coach Tonderai Ndiraya has bemoaned his side’s persisting failure to beat small teams especially at this stage of the league.

Madamburo succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Bulawayo City on Saturday at Barboufields Stadium. Keith Murera scored an own goal in the 14th minute which decided the outcome of the encounter.

The Mhondoro based club remains in the second position but is now five points behind log leaders FC Platinum.

“We had a frustrating afternoon as a team. After conceding a silly goal that we could have avoided, we failed to recover despite throwing at them (City) in the second half, we couldn’t to score,” said Ndiraya.

“I am getting worried that we keep on losing to small teams, especially at this stage of the title race but with five games, I believe its game on, and there is all to play for.”

Ngezi will play Chapungu at home in their next fixture before facing Harare city away in the following round. They also have dates against Bulawayo Chiefs, Black Rhinos and their title rivals FC Platinum.
