Ngezi Platinum Stars have fired their coach Tonderayi Ndiraya with immediate effect.

It seems Ndiraya has paid the price for a poor away record which has seen him lose to struggling teams with the latest being the 1-0 loss to Bulawayo City at the weekend.

In a statement Ngezi Platinum Stars says Ndiraya’s departure is by mutual consent.

“Ngezi Platinum Stars wish to announce the departure of coach Tonderai Ndiraya from the team through a mutual separation agreement,” the statement reads.

“… The Board and management of Ngezi Platinum Stars would like to thank Tonderai Ndiraya for his commitment to the team for the past 2.5 years. We have no doubt that he will continue to succeed as a young coach and wish him all the best in his future endeavours”

Ndiraya joined the Mhondoro based club in 2015 when they were promoted to the top flight football. He guided the side to the Chibuku Super Cup in 2016. Ngezi are currently in the second position, five points behind log leaders FC Platinum.

Meanwhile, former Warriors coach Kalisto Pasuwa is heavily linked with the job.
