Nyasha Mushekwi strikes another brace for Dalian Yifang

Nyasha Mushekwi struck another brace for Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang in their 3-1 win over Jiangsu Suning. The Zimbabwean international has been on a goal scoring spree and shows no signs of slowing down.

Jiangsu Suning took the lead in 4th minute of the game but Mushekwi levelled matters in the 37th minute.

Former Atletico Madrid striker Carrasco put Dalian Yifang back in the lead with a well taken free kick.

Mushekwi then made victory certain when scored the third in the 84th minute after a cross by Ting Zhu. Mushekwi moved his goal tally to 14 in 17 matches while Dalian Yifang moved to 8th on the table.

Despite his rich goal scoring form, Mushekwi is not expected to feature for the Warriors in their key upcoming AFCON qualifier against the DRC after excusing himself due to ‘injury’.

Earlier this week Warriors team manager Wellington Mpandare said Mushekwi would miss is out the DRC matches because of the same injury which kept him out of the Congo game in September and is due to for an operation in Germany when the league season ends.

“He has been featuring for his club, yes, but that is only because they can manage his condition there, something our doctors said they cannot do here”, Mpandare was quoted saying.
