Chitembwe urges team to remain focused

CAPS United coach Lloyd Chitimbwe is pleased with his charges advancing to the semifinals of the Chibuku Super Cup but believes they need to remain focused.

The Green Machine beat Chapungu 3-4 on penalties after the game played at Ascot Stadium on Saturday had ended goalless at full-time.

Speaking after the game, Chitembwe said: “I am happy that we got a positive result. We are going into the next stage, and we cannot say we are going to be the eventual winners until we play the last game. We have to remain focused until the next game.”

However, the gaffer rued the chances missed through out the encounter. Abasirim Chidiebere and Wisdom Mutasa failed to score from promising positions on several occasions while Valentine Musarurwa missed a sitter in the second half which could have contributed to the outcome of the tie.
