Buoyed by an emphatic 5-1 win over Nichrut, Triangle United coach Taurai Mangwiro is relishing meeting holders Harare City in the next rounds of the Chibuku Super Cup.
City who have an impressive record in the competition made light work of their quarter-final clash against Highlanders by winning 2-0. William Manondo and Wilfred Muvirimi were both on target in the first half.
“To be the champions, you have to beat the best. We are not afraid of any team, we will play a side that is drawn against us, but we are not afraid of Harare City or any other club,” said Mangwiro.
“We made Nichrut look ordinary because the boys played well. We could have scored even more goals. This is no disrespect to Nichrut, they are a good side, but it’s just that they found us in good form.”
Triangle are joined in the semifinals by Dynamos, Harare and Caps United.
