Chicken Inn secretary-general Tavengwa Hara says the club has not yet received official communication from FC Platinum regarding Clement Matawu.

Matawu is one of the players on the Norman Mapeza-coached side’s wishlist as the Zvishavane-based side seeks to strengthen its squad ahead of the CAF Champions League season.

According to NewsDay, Hara said: “We are yet to receive any communication from them (FC Platinum), but we do not want a situation where they go and negotiate with the player behind our back.

“Matawu is a mature player, and if they want him, they should use proper channels to get his services.”

Other players being targeted by FC Platinum include Dynamos defender Peace Makaha John Zhuwawu of Caps United, Ngezi Platinum captain Liberty Chakoroma, Triangle striker Lameck Nhamo and unattached former Highlanders striker, Prince Dube.

The deadline for the registration of players is next week, and the preliminary stage starts next month.
