Bring your own food and water, ZIFA tells fans

The Zimbabwe Football Association has urged fans that will attend the match against DRC on Tuesday to bring their own food and water.

The 2019 Afcon qualifier will be played at National Sports Stadium, and kick-off is at 7 pm.

ZIFA released a statement on Friday informing the fans that they won’t be any selling of food items at the stadium. The move is a precautionary measure to combat the spreading of cholera.

“After extensive consultations with relevant stakeholders, ZIFA and the stadium authorities resolved to bar selling of food items as a precautionary measure to combat chances of fans contracting Cholera.

“All supporters are urged to bring own supplies of water and other food that they may need during the duration of their stay at the stadium,” reads the statement.

Meanwhile, the gate charges for the match have been pegged at $3 for the rest of the ground while Bay 15-18 is going for $5. The VIP ticket costs $20. Modes of payments available are swipe and cash.
