Ngezi Platinum Stars are still harbouring wild dreams of snatching the league title from FC Platinum.

Pure Platinum Play need only a point in the last three games to be crowned champions, but Madamburo assistant coach Gift Muzadzi says they will wrestle it from their rivals.

“Football is a crazy game, anything can happen. We can still catch up with them and win the title. We are not giving up yet,” said Muzadzi.

The Mhondoro-based side dropped points again on Wednesday, surrendering an early lead against Harare City only to level matters midway in the second half.

Ngezi had started the match explosively getting in front through Walter Mukamga from the penalty spot after he was hacked down by Moses Muchenje. Kuda Musharu restored parity moments later before Tatenda Tumba gave City the lead just after the resumption, but Keith Murera equalised deep into the second half.

This is the second year running that Ngezi Platinum had fizzled out of the title race with some games to spare.
