Rovers coach hope for quick return to PSL

Mutare City Rovers coach interim coach Ndega Matsika hopes his side will make a quick a quick return to the PSL after they were relegated to Division One on Wednesday.

Rovers needed a victory to keep their faint chances alive but lost 1-0 at Triangle United. The defeat left them with twelve points behind the team occupying the least safe spot with only three games remaining.

“We are relegated now but we are hoping to make a quick return to the Premier League, and we are going to come back a stronger side,” said Matsika.

The Eastern Highlands-based side made another quick return to the top flight football last season after they got relegated in the 2016 season.

Meanwhile, Triangle got their solitary goal from Efinos Kamunda on the half-hour mark.
